The traffic on the R1 highway in Slovakia is paralyzed due to bad weather; heavy precipitation is also expected in Transcarpathia

Today, the traffic on the R1 highway in Slovakia leading to Bratislava was paralyzed due to bad weather. In particular, there was an accident involving the driver of a Hyundai, who "thought that he was a racer", near Zlata Moravce, the Mukachevo.net reported.

The Slovak police warns: drivers should be very careful and drive at a reasonable speed, according to the weather conditions. The weather is not improving, and snowfalls and fog continue to occur at low temperatures.

For example, 17 accidents have been recorded near the city of Nitra.

Also, the Slovak police warn drivers heading to Banska Bystrica district. It is raining and snowing there, and the roads get immediately covered with ice.

For the sake of safe driving, it is recommended to reduce the speed, accelerate and brake slowly, and maintain a safe braking distance from the cars ahead.

Meanwhile, the Transcarpathian meteorologists have warned that heavy precipitation is expected in Transcarpathia tomorrow.
