From February 1, schoolchildren in Vynogradiv district will have an extra “holidays”

In connection with the high incidence of acute respiratory diseases among schoolchildren and children of preschool age, it was decided to close general education institutions, preschools and art schools of Vynogradiv district for the period from February 1 to February 16, 2018.

This decision was taken today at the meeting of the Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies under the chairmanship of the head of the Vynogradiv District State Administration Mykhailo Rusanyuk.

During the meeting, members of the commission discussed three issues: the state of the epidemiological situation with acute respiratory viral infections, measles and leptospirosis in the district; about readiness to spring floods and ice drifts. 

The main issue discussed was the state of the epidemiological situation with acute respiratory viral infections, measles and leptospirosis in the district. Vynogradiv District Branch of the State Enterprise "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" informs that according to the weekly epidemiological monitoring over the influenza and ARVI incidence, during the 4th week of 2018, 442 people in the district fell ill, including 247 children, which is 55.8% of the total number of patients. The ARVI incidence among schoolchildren in the district is 66.1%, and the incidence among pre-school age children is 33.2%. The rate of hospitalization of patients with ARVI, including children, is increasing.
