According to the KMKSZ, Hungarian officials and Transcarpathian journalists are harrassed on the border

The Association of Hungarian Culture of Transcarpathia (KMKSZ) expressed an official protest against officers of the State Border Guard Service and the Security Service of Ukraine harrassing Hungarian officials and media workers of the region at the border, the Holos Karpat writes with reference to the portal mti.hu. In this way, the authorities are trying to intimidate this category of people, the KMKSZ believe.

"We are asking for explanations why Hungarian officials, journalists, and heads of local self-government bodies for no reason are held for 2-3 hours on the border, subjected to in-depth inspection of their belongings, even searched without protocols," - the statement of the KMKSZ sent to the Hungarian Telegraph Agency (MTI) reads. The large number of the described incidents prompts the KMKSZ to regard such actions as harassment of the Hungarian intellectuals of the region. The chairman of the KMKSZ, the People's Deputy of Ukraine, Laszlo Brenzovych, demanded official explanations from the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak, - the Hungarian portal mti.hu reported.
