On Friday, October 12, at 12.00, the updated monument to the victims of the Holocaust, which is located near the premises of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic (the former synagogue), will be unveiled.
The monument contains plaques bearing the names of people, who died in concentration camps.
The opening will be attended by representatives of various ethnic communities of Transcarpathia: Jewish, Slovak, Hungarian and others.
The monument to the victims of the Holocaust in Uzhgorod is a "David’s star" with a metal "Star of Infinity" towering above it, – the Uzhgorod Press Club reported.
