Most number of the deputies, who, according to the "Myrotvorets", have Hungarian citizenship, are members of the party "United Center" - Moskal
The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration urges the Verkhovna Rada to resolve the issue of dual citizenship once and for all. He wrote about it on his official website.
- The publication of the list of persons who, according to the site "Myrotvorets", have Hungarian citizenship, can not be the grounds for firing these people from work, but it is the grounds for a serious check, - Hennadiy Moskal says. - Which is currently being carried out by the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. As of now, following the check, three persons, who are employees of the Beregovo and Vynogradiv district state administrations and have the status of civil servants, have been found. As is known, Article 84 of the Law of Ukraine "On Civil Service" prohibits persons, who have the citizenship of another country, to hold positions in the civil service system. Interviews were conducted with these people, during which they personally admitted that they had Hungarian citizenship. All three have already been discharged from positions.
The persons on the list, who hold positions in local self-government bodies, as well as in the field of education, medicine, social welfare, etc., even if confirmed to have Hungarian citizenship, can not be fired because there are no legal grounds for this. The same applies to the numerous deputies of village, town, city and district councils. What to do with those people should be decided by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by making appropriate changes to the legislation on labor and the status of deputies of local councils.
The analysis of the list shows that most of the deputies, who, according to the site, have Hungarian citizenship, are members of the "Unified Center" political party. According to preliminary data, those are the deputies of seven local councils, including the head of the Beregovo district organization of the "United Center", deputy of the Beregovo district council Zoltan Kovacs.
The main reason that caused the current situation in Transcarpathia and the tension between Ukraine and Hungary is the lack of certainty on dual citizenship in the Ukrainian legislation. Without such certainty, which can only be resolved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the problem will not disappear. Therefore, I call on the Verkhovna Rada to resolve the issue of dual citizenship once and for all.
