Another restored Czechoslovak hydrant will be installed in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

This was written by Vitaliy Glagola on Facebook. He also posted the photos that show how masters create a real antique hydrant from something that looks like scrap metal.

– Uzhgorod Czechoslovak hydrants have long been popular among tourists, as one of the highlights of the city. Once, we even started the movement to preserve these old hydrants 1930. Then even the city authorities promised to support and finance their restoration, but their words have never been put into action – no penny has been allocated.

But tomorrow, a completely restored hydrant will be installed near the school No. 3. It was resumed by a businessman Vadim Trutnev, who does car restorations, at his expense. The budget of such a restoration is $ 1500, including all works and materials. I am posting a short video about this work and the photos with only one purpose, to make you understand how much efforts it takes to save the history of the city.

In fact, it took 4 weeks of work of millers, welders, turners, sandblowers, painters and other specialists. A total of 15 people. Those are teams of several companies, such as "Avtoemali", "AvtoSportServis", "SINT" and the MU "Vodokanal" helped with spare parts, did earthworks and provided documents.
