The border guard killed in Transcarpathia will be recommended for the state decoration, and his family will receive assistance from the state

Petro Poroshenko made this statement during a meeting with border guards in Orshanka

Today, on November 20, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Petro Tsyhykal, to immediately recommend the head of the department "Dilove" in Rakhiv district Vadim Berezensky killed during the arrest of smugglers for the state decoration. According to the Presidential Administration, Petro Poroshenko made this statement during a meeting with border guards in Orshanka.

Petro Poroshenko also instructed to give the family ofr the border guard an apartment and material support.

Petro Poroshenko assured that the persons responsible for the death of Vadim Berezenksky will be punished "to the fullest extent".

At the meeting, the late border guard Major Vadim Berezensky and all the heroes-border guards, who died while performing their duty, were commemorated with a minute of silence.
