Transcarpathian police detained a previously convicted young man for stealing from his grandmother

Officers of the Mukachevo criminal police revealed the involvement of an 18-year-old boy in a series of thefts from his grandmother’s apartment. Criminal proceedings were opened on all accounts.

An 82-year-old woman reported to the police about a theft from her apartment.

Officers of the criminal investigation team gathered the evidence and found out that her grandson was involved in the theft of a bathtub and a refrigerator from the woman’s apartment. The 18-year-old boy has already been convicted of committing property crimes. This time, when his grandmother was not at home, the guy took the big things from the apartment, and then sold them.

The Mukachevo Police Department commenced an investigation over the theft under Part 1 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Theft, committed repeatedly). He was notified of being suspected of committing a criminal offense on both crimes. In addition to these crimes, the previously convicted man is suspected of a number of other theft of property committed on the territory of the city. Investigation is being conducted into all of them.
