During the first plenary meeting of the 10th session of the Regional Council, the regional deputies listened to and supported the oral request of their colleague Viktor Rusyn to the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor’s Office and the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region regarding the need to carry out official checks and to provide legal assessment following them.
In particular, regarding the activities of the non-governmental organization "Transcarpathian military patriotic association "Carpathian Sich" and the legality of the formation of street patrol units in the city of Uzhgorod. And also regarding the beating of a mentally ill man by members of the "Carpathian Sich" in Uzhgorod on February 15, 2018, and the inaction of the National Police officers to citizens’ complaints about the unlawful actions of the public order violator, which caused the lynching by the "public patrol".
In accordance with the provisions of Parts 7, 8 of Article 49 of the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine", Part 1 of Article 21, Article 22 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of Deputies of Local Councils" and Articles 38, 101 of the Rules of Work of the Regional Council of the VII convocation, by the decision signed by the chairman of the Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis, the Prosecutor’s Office of Transcarpathian region, the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, shall inform the deputy Viktor Rusyn and the Regional Council about the results of consideration of the deputy’s request within one month.
The control over the implementation of this decision is entrusted to the executive staff of the Regional Council.
