Because of thieves, Transcarpathian region could have been left without electricity

A Facebook user reported on the theft of metal angles on a high-voltage transmission line support near the village of Konoplivtsi in Mukachevo district.

Promptly, employees of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC found out that the theft had been committed on a 220 thousand Volts overhead line. "This is one of the three system-generating power lines in Transcarpathian region, its failure could have led to the collapse of the power grid! - Artem Martynyuk, the First Deputy General Director-Director for Energy Distribution of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC commented.

- The stolen angles at the base of the support number 72 could have caused complete blackout of entire Transcarpathian region! Not to mention schools, kindergartens, administrations, transport, railways, hospitals!"

The management of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC expresses gratitude to the person who noticed this fact and informed about it!  It allowed to respond in a timely manner and solve the problem!

Employees of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC reported the theft of the angles to the police. The Security Service of Ukraine will also investigate the incident, given the possible negative consequences for the security of the state!
