Yesterday’s trip of a 22-year-old Ukrainian to Slovakia ended prematurely and unluckyly. Hoping for less thorough control in the holiday evening, he tried to illegally move 250 packs of cigarettes "Jin Ling" across the state border.
The cigarettes were found by border guards during the inspection of a car Volkswagen Passat with Polish registration, which had arrived in the evening at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod". The man tried to transport contraband cigarettes in a cache made in the car fuel tank.
Consequently, the tobacco products hidden from the border customs control and the car made in 1995 were confiscated in accordance with the current legislation. The value of the confiscated items is currently being established.
