"SlobodaKult" presents: "School No. 3"
Within the framework of the "SlobodaKult" festival, the screening and the meeting with the crew of the documentary film "School No. 3" will take place today in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo.
"School No. 3" is a Ukrainian and German co-production filmed in 2016 by George Geno and Elizabeth Smith. The world premiere took place on February 15, 2017, at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival, where the film won the Grand Prix in the program "Generation 14+". In Ukraine, the film was released on October 26, 2017.
The film tells about events that happened in the summer of 2014 in the town of Mykolayivka, Donetsk region. Mykolayivka witnessed and was affected by military operations. Several shells hit the school No. 3, turning it into one of the city ruins. The film shows the stories of 13 tenns, students of the school No. 3 who survived the war. These children want to be heard and they have something to say.
The film will be shown in Uzhgorod today at 13.00 in the puppet theater "Bavka". After the show, there will be a meeting with the crew. In Mukachevo, the show will begin at 21:00 in the courtyard of the Children's Art School.
