Moskal: "Transcarpathia needs almost 200 million for the monetization of benefits. There is no way to get this money..."

In Transcarpathia, there are almost 101 thousand people entitled to benefits provided by Ukrainian legislation. Those are combatants, Chornobyl disaster liquidators, disabled as a result of war, parents of killed soldiers, 1st group disabled, etc.

- The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided that the benefits for this category of people shall be reimbursed in cash from local budgets, - Hennadiy Moskal said. - According the the calculations, during the year, we need to pay in total 195.5 million hryvnias to the persons entitled to benefits living in the region. But local budgets for 2018 are already adopted, and monetization of benefits is not provided in them. It is bad to make changes in the middla of the budget year, besides, there is no way to get such a huge amount. To prevent the collapse of the local budgets in the region, the regional state administration has appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with a request to give Transcarpathia a grant in the amount of 195.5 million hryvnia for monetization of benefits.
