Social and other media are shaken by the news of the unprecedented animal cruelty: an elderly man in Rakhiv district tied a horse to a truck and dragged him on the asphalt.
This was reported in the community "Chorna Tysa land" (the incident occurred in the village of Chorna Tysa). They say that the abuser was Vasyl Maksymyuk, a pensioner, former assistant forester. Witnesses say that the animal abuser was very drunk, and the horse, which was injured quite badly, does not belong to him, but to his fellow villager. As it became known from the villagers, the village head is the perpetrator’s son-in-law, and all local self-government is one family.
The owner of the horse turned to the police, but there have been no reports on the opening of a proceeding yet. Meanwhile, the community of animal advocates "Everyone has a second chance (Uzhgorod)" reported: the Uanimals public organization will deal with this incident.
They inform: Oleksandr Todorchuk, the founder of the Uanimals, is ready to help and asks local animal advocates to go to the scene to find out the circumstances, they are also ready to provide the legal support of the claim.
We are expecting an adequate response from the regional law-enforcement agencies and the police of the Rakhiv district!
