Transcarpathian prosecutors want more severe punishment for the official of Uzhgorod City Hall suspected of bribery

The prosecutor's office appeals against the court's decision regarding the pre-trial restraint imposed on the Uzhgorod City Council official detained while receiving $ 800 in unlawful benefit.

The Prosecutor's Office of Transcarpathian region do not agree with the decision of the Uzhgorod City and District Court dd. June 14, 2018, regarding the pre-trial restraint in the form of a house arrest imposed on the official of Uzhgorod City Council, detained while receiving $ 800 in unlawful benefit. At present, an appeal for the said decision is being prepared.

Also, the prosecutor's office is appealing to the court to remove the official from office for the period of the pre-trial investigation.

Recall that law enforcement officers recorded the official demanding and receiving the first part of the undue benefit in the amount of $ 800 for the conclusion of a lease agreement for a communal property in area of ​​32 square meters.

She was notified of being suspected under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - extortion and reception of unlawful benefit by an official.

The pre-trial investigation continues, - the press service of the prosecutor's office in Transcarpathian region reported.

Recall that the suspect is Tetyana Poltavtseva, who was running for Uzhgorod city council as a member of the "European party".
