Yesterday, June 9, at 12:42, the police received a report that there had been a fight at the market on Ukrainska street in Uzhgorod. An anonymous person reported that one of the men involved in the fight had been stabbed.
The investigation team at the scene found out that there was a dispute between two previously convicted 39-year-old and 23-year-old men. In the course of the conflict, the 39-year-old resident stabbed his opponent several times in the back and chest.
The 23-year-old man was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Central City Clinical Hospital.
The police opened a criminal investigation into the attempted murder. The 39-year-old resident of the regional center suspected of the crime was arrested and placed in a temporary detention facility.
A criminal proceeding was initiated pursuant to Part 2 of Article 15 Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Attempted murder). The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. Currently, the man is in a temporary detention facility. The investigation continues, the PR department of Transcarpathian regional police reported.
