In Dilove, border guards stopped the night “smoking”

Last night, in Transcarpathia, smugglers tried to carry 1000 packs of cigarettes to Romania across the Tisa river, the press service of the Mukachevo border guard detachment informs. The offenders were detected by border guards of the "Dilove" department of the Mukachevo detachment. While patroling, soldiers noticed unknown persons with packages moving fast towards the Tisa river to the Ukrainian-Romanian border. The soldiers started chasing the offenders and made several warning shots. The men ran away. At a distance of 25 meters from the border, smugglers left 2 packages with 960 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps. The tobacco products were delivered to the Department of the Border Guard Service "Dilove". Measures to identify the persons involved in the smuggling are being taken.
