Opium was estimated at UAH 15 million
This is the amount of bail for the drug dealer, as well as the value of 150,000 extraction opium doses intended for sale, that were seized during the detention.
UAH 15.5 million bail or detention for a term of two months was imposed by the Galician District Court on the drug dealer from Transcarpathia, who had been detained by the police on July 18 during a special operation on Tomas Masaryk Street near the "Hid" market in Mukachevo.
The Military Prosecutor's Office of the Western region reported that, at the request of the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Western region of Ukraine, a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention for a term of 60 days was imposed on the resident of Transcarpathia, who is suspected of manufacturing and repeatedly selling extraction opium. Alternatively, he can be released on bail of UAH 15.5 million. The relevant decision was adopted on July 20, 2018 by the Galician District Court in the city of Lviv.
During April-July 2018, the prosecutor's office of the region documented multiple facts of manufacturing and sale of 3.5 liters of opium extraction by the specified drug dealer. In addition, during the special operation, a total of 7.5 liters of opium extraction - 150 thousand doses of the drug worth about UAH 15 million - was seized.
The special operation to catch the members of the organized group was conducted by the investigators of the Investigation Department of the Main Office of the National Police in Lviv region, together with the operational staff of the Drug Enforcement Department.
