Nevytsky Castle is back on the balance sheet of the region
On Wednesday (18.07), the Court of Appeal of Transcarpathian region considered the appeal of the regional prosecutor's office regarding the return of the Nevytsky castle to the balance sheet of the region. The panel of judges upheld the appeal, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informed.
Recall that in 2010, the Nevytsky castle was transferred to the Kamyanytsya village council of Uzhgorod district with a gross violation of the law. The repeated appeals of the regional state administration with a request to return this unique historical object were ignored by the Kamyanytsya village council, which hindered the implementation of the project for restoration of the castle at 11.2 million hryvnias. The lion's share of this money (10.7 million) should come from the State Budget of Ukraine in the framework of financing regional development projects, which can be implemented at the expense of the funds received from the European Union, and another 500 thousand will be allocated from the regional budget.
