Due to the accidents, which resulted in the death of 29 people in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, the Transcarpathian police will be carrying out enhanced control on the roads of Transcarpathia.
The corresponding order was announced today during a selector meeting between the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the heads of the territorial units of the National Police and the Rescue Service of Ukraine.
The heads of the National Police offices are charged with organizing a continuous process of monitoring the compliance with the traffic rules in the respective regions, checking the technical condition of public transport, as well as organizing round-the-clock duty of the police and the National Guard officers in high accident rate areas.
The Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region stresses the necessity of strict observance of the traffic rules, and asks drivers, as well as pedestrians, to be understanding about the forced inspections. All these measures are aimed solely at preserving and protecting the lives of citizens, as well as preventing accidents on the roads of the region.
