Doctors of the international doctor mission will treat Transcarpathians free of charge
American and Canadian therapists, dentists, gastroenterologists, gynecologists, surgeons, neuropathologists, family doctors will be treating Transcarpathians free of charge for a week.
Today, on July 17, there was the meeting of representatives of the media and members of the team of the International mission of doctors "Operation Renewed Hope" who will be holding free reception of Transcarpathians during the week.
The meeting was attended by the mission chairman Jan Milton, the director of the "Touch a Life" Charitable Foundation Oleg Ensky and his associate Laurie Enska, doctors of the Mission Gary Gibson and Steven Dersch.
In Ukraine, Transcarpathians will be the first to receive free medical assistance from Canadian and American specialists. In total, 54 specialists from abroad came to Transcarpathia, and a week later, another 31 members of the International Mission of Doctors will join the colleagues.
"We want to thank the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the regional and local authorities for allowing us to come here and provide medical care to your citizens. It is a great honor for us to work with Transcarpathian doctors, because they share our experience with us, help us understand local life and culture, and most importantly - the urgent needs of the local population. Prior to this, our Mission has already been operating in 45 countries around the world. It is our first visit to your region, we are already working with the Charity Foundation "Touch a Life", helping children from disadvantaged families. We also help the areas affected by disasters and people who are in a difficult life situation," - Jan Milton said.
Foreign doctors brought to Transcarpathia equipment that will allow patients to be diagnosed and treated properly. Those are both portable devices, and office equipment, including dental equipment.
Since the Ukrainian legislation does not allow free import of medicines to Ukraine, the doctors of the International Mission plan to cooperate with local pharmacies to provide patients with the necessary medicines.
"Our equipment is first of all our knowledge. In addition, we already have arrangements for cooperation with local doctors and medical institutions to provide quality medical services to the population. In general, one of the goals of the visit here is to share experiences with your doctors. And we are pleased to note that while staying here and communicating with Ukrainian colleagues, we share many points of view on professional activities," - Stephen Dersche, the Chief Medical Officer of the International Mission of Doctors "Operation Renewed Hope" said.
Free reception of citizens will be held on July 18-20 and July 24-26 from 9.00 to 17.00, in the city of Mukachevo in the building of the Charity Foundation "Touch a Life" at J.Komensky st., 64. For additional information, call 066-405-39-63.
