Another road accident in Transcarpathia: six people were injured in Vynogradiv district

Yesterday, July 14, in the evening, Vynogradiv district police received a report that in the village of Korolevo there was a frontal collision of two cars, the victims were taken to Vynogradiv hospital for medical assistance.

Arriving at the scene, the investigation team found out that an Audi-100 and a Volkswagen Golf had collided. There were a total of six people, including children, in the cars.

The culprit was a 30-year-old driver of the Audi, a resident of Korolevo. The driver drove onto the oncoming lane ran into the Volkswagen Golf with foreign registration driven by a 27-year-old resident of the village of Oleshnyk, Vynogradiv district.

As a result, six victims were injured: both drivers, a passenger of the Audi and three passengers of the Golf, including two children aged 2 and 5 years. The children were diagnosed with closed craniocerebral trauma, concussion, bruises on the chest. The driver and passengers of the Golf are being treated at the Traumatological Department of the District Hospital.

The examination showed that the driver was in a state of intoxication.

The police launched an investigation into this incident. The driver is charged with a criminal offense stipulated in Part 1 of Art.286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules that caused injuries). The circumstances of the accident will be established by investigators. The cars were taken to the police impound lot, – the communications department of the Transcarpathian regional police informs.
