The Hungarian police are looking for Ukrainians with dual citizenship

In the village of Hajdúdorog, near the border town of Nyiregyhaza, the Hungarian police has conducted a special operation to detain local officials accused of forging documents for issuing passports to Ukrainian citizens. This was reported by Mukachevo.net with reference to the publication Magyar Nemzet.

In the article, it is stated that the operation was carried out by a special unit from Budapest (BRFK), and also that some Ukrainians were detained. However, there is currently no official information on the progress of the case.

In particular, the newspaper reports that the raid took place on January 24, with the participation of a significant number of police and special forces in bullet-proof vests. In particular, it is said that both state officials and Ukrainians, who illegally received Hungarian passports, were arrested.

Local people say that people from Ukraine indeed live in their village. And allegedly as many as 40 people are registered in one of the houses.

Recall that recently, one of the leaders of the Hungarian opposition Ferenc Gyurcsany, called for the abolition of pensions for Ukrainians and Russians who have been appearing en masse recently in Hungarian border villages.
