The OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities Lamberto Zanier, during a visit to Uzhgorod (Transcarpathian region), confirmed the understanding of the need to study the state language by all Ukrainian citizens while ensuring the right to study the languages ​​of national minorities, the deputy head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vasyl Bodnar reported.

"The visit to Uzhgorod began with a meeting with the OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities L. Zanier. The High Commissioner clearly confirmed the understanding of the need to study the state language by all Ukrainian citizens while ensuring the right to study the languages ​​of national minorities," – he wrote on his Twitter page on Tuesday.
