During the weekend, rescuers were searching for 16 lost tourists in Rakhiv district

During the weekend, rescuers of the mountain search and rescue unit were called three times to conduct search and rescue operations in Rakhiv district. The total number of the rescued persons is 16.

Thus, the first report about a person getting lost in the mountains was receved by the rescue service at 18:50 on February 16. According to the information, while the skiing in the Vurda valley, a resident of the city of Kostopil in Rivne region, born in 1990 got lost. Rescue crew of the Yasinya mountain search and rescue department consisting of four rescuers and one special vehicle were employed for search and rescue operations. At 20:30, the lost skier was found and accompanied to the Dragobrat ski resort. The man did not need medical care.

On Sunday, February 18, rescuers once again had to conduct search operations near the Dragobrat valley and the Hoverla Mt.

In the evening, at 17:10 and 17:45, they received reports that five tourists had gotten lost near the Dragobrat. Six rescuers of the Rakhiv mountain search and rescue department and 5 volunteers working at the ski resorts were sent to search for them. At 20:00, besides the said citizens, the rescuers found eight more people who had also gotten lost.

Meanwhile, Lazeshchyna rescuers at 16:30 on February 18, started conducting search and rescue operations near the Hoverla Mt. Two residents of Kyiv region get lost there. They were found at 06:00 on February 19. At present, the rescuers are accompanying the tourists to the nearest settlement in Rakhiv district.
