A young artist from Uzhgorod arranged an "Intervention" in Lviv (PHOTOS)
The exhibition of works by 26-year-old Uzhgorod artist Danylo Kovach "Intervention" opened in the Metropolitan Andriy Sheptytsky Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv.
This is the first exhibition of graphics by the young artist. In fact, he himself was a "guide" at the event.
About 20 works by Kovach Jr. are presented in the hall - prints, engraving, monotypes, etc. As for materials, those are Soviet gouache, green enamel, German typographic paint - spray, fragments cut out of Soviet posters and magazines.
The exhibition will last 2 months.
PS: Danylo and Pavlo Kovaches are currently in Poland. They became the participants in the grant program "Gaude Polonia", which is intended for young artists and translators of Polish literature from Central and Eastern Europe and organized by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.
Danylo Kovach studied at the Uzhgorod School of the Arts from the famous painter and teacher Emma Levadska. Already at that time he was a participant in regional, all-Ukrainian and international children's competitions and exhibitions. In particular, he was the diploma winner of the 2nd All-Ukrainian Children's Painting Competition named after Repin (Kharkiv), I degree laureate of the international children and youth competition "Silver Bell" (painting nomination). He studied at the Uzhgorod College of Arts. He is a member of the Youth Association of the Transcarpathian Organization of National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2010). Graduated from the Lviv National Academy of Arts (department of sacred art) (2016). He has had several personal exhibitions in Uzhgorod, Lviv, Kyiv. Participant of all-Ukrainian and international plein-airs, art festivals, projects in Slovakia and Poland.
