A 20-year-old resident of Svalyava district beat a minor

Officers of the Svalyava police detained a resident of the district center, who is suspected of causing bodily harm to a minor. Criminal proceeding over this fact has been opened. The suspect is under house arrest.

Svalyava police department received a report from a doctor that a 17-year-old boy with broken head had been admitted to the medical institution. The minor was diagnosed with severe trauma. As the law-enforcement officers found out, the teenager was injured during a fight with a stranger in the village of Pavlovo.

Officers of the Svalyava police identified and arrested the man who had beaten the victim. It was a 20-year-old resident of Pavlovo village.

A criminal case was opened over the incident under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, causing serious bodily injuries. The man has already been notified of being suspected, he is currently under house arrest. He faces imprisonment for a term of five to eight years. Pre-trial investigation in this case continues.
