13 Magnets of Transcarpathia. Attraction #2 – Tyachiv district (PHOTOS)

"Magnet" # 2, and therefore the second reason to visit Transcarpathia, namely, one of its most colorful districts – Tyachiv.

It is primarily known as the land of numerous caves and unique wooden architecture. The church in the village of Kolodne is well-known, as well as the largest cave in Ukraine, called "Friendship". Also tourists know the Uhlya-Shyroky Luh reserve array with its incredible scenery and an interesting ethnographic heritage related to neighboring Romania.

But for me, and this is very subjective, Tyachiv district is associated with sweets, that’s right! Every Transcarpathian has tried delicious and original dried fruits in chocolate. This natural and healthy product has been made in the village of Bushtyno since 2006. However, "Golden Candy", as they are called, for some reason still have not become a sweet souvenir of this land.

Maybe it’s because of the design or packaging, or maybe because of the assortment? Or they just are not marketed from the tourist point of view? But, I think you should pay attention to them. They are said not to contain preservatives and dyes, and they are also "handmade". And I’m not trying to promote anyone, but such healthy and tasty gift can become a true symbol of the land on a par with the other goodies that visitors and tourists take home along with the impressions of this hospitable land. So far, this district has not become the chocolate capital of Transcarpathia. But who knows, maybe it will in the future?

By the way, you can read about the magnet # 1 HERE. To be continued.
