At the checkpoint "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs office, during the in-depth inspection of a "SEAT" with Ukrainian license plates, hidden cigarettes were found. A Ukrainian was crossing the border with Hungary and had hidden cigarettes "Rothmans" made in Ukraine with excise stamps.
Arriving at the checkpoint, the citizen reported that he was not transporting any goods and items hidden from customs control. However, considering the risks and sending the car for in-depth inspection, the customs officers found 390 packs of hidden cigarettes in the constructive cavities of the vehicle. The cost of the tobacco products is 11,808 UAH, the cost of the car is 8,550 USD. These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations envisaged by Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The tobacco products and the vehicle were confiscated.
