Another shop for the manufacture of counterfeit cognac was shut down in Uzhgorod

During the sanctioned searches, 1,400 bottles of the counterfeit "Zakarpatsky" cognac with forged excise tax stamps of Ukraine were found and seized.

This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

The police, together with the prosecutor's office, shut down the illegal manufacture and sale of counterfeit cognac. The involvement of the four residents of Uzhgorod district in this crime has already been established. In the course of sanctioned searches, 1,400 bottles of counterfeit "Zakarpatsky" cognac with forged excise tax stamps of Ukraine were found and seized.

The detected products have already been seized and will be sent for examination.

At present, the investigation is being conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated under Part 3 of Art. 199 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (manufacturing, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment of excise stamps committed by an organized group or in a particularly large scale).
