Last night, border guards of the Chop detachment together with the operational staff of the Western Regional Directorate managed to prevent an attempt to violate the state border by a group of illegal immigrants. The border patrol of the department "Onokivtsi" detained four African men in the Dubky tract in Uzhgorod district. The illegal immigrants were hiding in the forest near the recreation area when they were detected by law enforcement officers. The detainees had passports of Moroccan citizens.
At present, the foreigners were taken to the special station "Onokivtsi" of the border guard service departmen "Uzhgorod". After establishment of all the circumstances of the offense, they will be brought to administrative liability under Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine". At the same time, law enforcement officers are taking measures to identify the persons involved in the organization of illegal transportation of persons across the border.
