On the weekend, tragic events happened in Transcarpathia once again. During Saturday and Sunday, rescue workers found four drowned persons in local waters. Since the beginning of this year, 37 deaths in the water have been recorded in the region, including 5 children's.

The spokesperson of the State Emergencies Service in Transcarpathian region Natalia Batyr says - the sad statistics is growing due to the carelessness of the people. Last year, 22 people died in the water, which is almost twice less than this year.

On the weekend, four people drowned in Transcarpathia. Two of them, drowned in Mukachevo district, the village of Pavshyno, and another two in Khust district. According to the rescuers, the victims chose places unsuitable for swimming, and also were swimming in the evening. The circumstances of the deaths will be investigated by law enforcement agencies. And rescuers once again remind not to ignore safety rules. "We have only two diving and rescue stations, in Khust and Uzhgorod districts. Also, there are rescue divers in the village of Kamyanytsia, where Uzhgorod residents like to rest. Therefore, we emphasize that it is allowed to swim only in specially designated places where there are specially trained rescuers who can provide qualified help", - Natalia Batyr says.
