This year, 76 tourists have gotten lost in the Carpathians

Since the beginning of the year, 123 tourists have got into trouble in the Carpathians. These data were released by the Director of the Department for Economic Development and Trade of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Denys Man. Of those tourists, 76 got lost in the Carpathians (including 6 foreigners), 37 were evacuated (including 27 children), and 2 died.

According to Denys Man, this year specialists of the tourist sphere have developed specific measures aimed at creating safe conditions for tourists. In particular, it is planned to mark tourist routes and individual trails.
