Under to the procedural control of the Prosecutor’s Office of Transcarpathian region, the suspect in the organization of the bombing in the building of the "Society of Hungarian Culture of Transcarpathia" was taken into custody, the Transcarpathian Prosecutor’s Office informs on its website.
The incident happened on February 27 this year in Uzhgorod on Pravoslavna embankment. In particular, it was found out that an improvised explosive device, which had been planted by one of the criminals, detonated around 3 am. As a result, the windows and the facade of the building were damaged and the property in the office was completely destroyed. No person was injured.
On August 8, 2018, the Security Service of Ukraine operatives under the procedural control of the regional prosecutor’s office detained a suspect in organizing this crime in Dnipropetrovsk region.On Thursday, August 9, a pre-trial retraint in the form of detention was imposed on him.
