The indictment against the Uzhgorod official has been sent in court

The suspect is indicted on a charge of a criminal offense stipulated in Part 2 of Article 15 and Part 1 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – completed attempt to take possession of someone else’s property by abuse of trust.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office in Transcarpathian region.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Transcarpathian region has sent to court the indictment in the criminal proceeding against Tetyana Poltavtseva, the head of the municipal property management office of the Municipal Economy Department of the Uzhgorod City Council, who had received a bribe from a resident of Uzhgorod.

During the pre-trial investigation it was established that the official, knowing that the procedure for the transfer of communal property, which the Uzhgorod resident intended to lease, was taking place on a competitive basis, and its subsequent privatization – on the basis of the relevant decision of the City Council session, convinced the Transcarpathian that he must pay her $ 1000 for leasing municipal non-residential premises.

Subsequently, the official ordered the Uzhgorod resident to give part of the previously agreed amount of $ 800 to her partner, from whom law enforcers seized the money.

Recall that after the arrest Tetyana Poltavtseva did not admit her guilt and insisted that she had never demanded money from anyone.
