How did the chupacabra end up in Transcarpathia?

Humans, for centuries, have been trying to destroy what they do not understand: either due to ignorance, or due to their own imperfection, anything, that is against common sense and does not fit into the "known" category, must be destroyed.

The "I do not know" and "this can not be" from time to time give rise to rumors about mystical creatures like chupacabra.

In reality, everything could be much simpler, and the news of the day about the chupacabra in the village of Shenborn in Mukachevo district will remain a sensation, but only because scared residents of the village killed and burned the animal. Otherwise, everything may look quite different:

"About Transcarpathian chupacabras!

A few years ago, I was in a veterinary clinic with my dog. The veterinarian received a call and was told that a man had ran over a (presumably) chupacabra and it’s dead carcass would be brought to him for identification, and that there would be a TV crew.

So, the proud man brought it and was waiting for a sensation! And a sensation it was, because it was an otter listed in the Red Book. I advised the hero to run, before the TV crew arrives.

And now about today’s Sensation.

A fox with a skin disease came to the village in search of food, and since the villagers had not seen wild animals for a long time, they slaughtered it with pitchforks thinking that it was a chupacabra.

Wild animals have nowhere to hunt and live, and our people are becoming savage…

That’s how it is…", – Viktoria Yurik wrote.

Most often, "chupacabras" are animals (dogs, coyotes, foxes, jackals, pigs) with altered appearence as a result of diseases or mutations.
