Uzhgorod “Cross” was lit up in honor of St. George’s Day and two anticipated Transcarpathian festivals (PHOTOS)

On Wednesday, April 25, it was very hot in the heart of the city – at the intersection of Korzo and Voloshin streets. The famous "cross" was "lit up" on the occasion of the patron saint of the city – St. George – near the temple in his honor.

The Historical Reenactment Club "The Order of Saint Nicholas" staged a holiday to entertain the townspeople and to invite guests to two large and interesting festivals: "Fire Life Fest" and "Silver Tatosh".

But first, the participants – Yuriy Slavik (the organizer of the "Silver Tatosh") and Sasha Shershun (herald of the festival) – continued their humorous (?) fight using not only words, but also swords. According to the scenario, a Mukachevo peasant (Sasha) challenged an Uzhgorod nobleman (Yuriy) to find out which city – Uzhgorod or Mukachevo – is stronger and better. The big battle will take place on the first day of the festival of medieval culture "Silver Tatosh" on May 25. The holiday will be held in the castle Saint-Miklos in Chynadiyevo, from May 25 to 27, and will present a diverse program – from knight tournaments to horse riding and even medieval cuisine and other interesting thing, that you can find out on the page of the event.

Then, the "Fire Life Fest" fire theater showed part of their new impressive program. You will be able to see their full program and shows from the masters of fire from Ukraine and various countries of the world at the festival that will take place next weekend – April 30 and May 1 – in the Amphitheater, the details are HERE. This event is a must see!
