Transcarpathians are urged to control the carriers

The complex of targeted measures titled "Carrier" is underway in Transcarpathia. Their goal is to prevent passenger transport accidents and reduce the severity of their consequences, to have drivers and carriers comply with rules of the road and the rules of passenger transportation. Particular attention is paid to the technical condition of vehicles, the availability and serviceability of emergency exits, the arrangement of seats, the organization of preliminary inspection of the technical condition of buses and regular medical examination of drivers.

Under the complex of the targeted measures, they will also be checking the compliance with the requirements of the legislation during transportation of organized groups of children, passengers on regular special routes. This was discussed at the conference call, which took place on April 24 in the Regional State Administration chaired by the Director of the Department of Infrastructure, Development and Maintenance of Highway Network and Housing and Communal Services of the RSA Eduard Malyar. The heads of the Patrol Police Office in Transcarpathian region, the State Transport Safety Inspectorate office, the heads of district state administrations, representatives of the Road Service in Transcarpathian region, carriers took part in the meeting, the site of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs.

Following the meeting, the Patrol Police Office in Transcarpathian region and the State Transport Safety Inspectorate were recommended to ensure control over the carriers and to punish violators. 

The district state administrations were instructed to regularly notify about any carriers that carry passengers illegally.
