In the morning, border guards of the "Solotvyno" department of the Mukachevo detachment, in the course of coordinated actions with Romanian colleagues, prevented the smuggling of 15 packages of tobacco products.
The illegal smuggling operation was prevented thanks to exchange of information on the detection of signs of possible unlawful activities near the Tisa river, along the border with Romania. As a result of joint search operations, they found 15 packages of tobacco products and a 19-year-old citizen of Ukraine in a wetsuit.
In order to take filtration measures and make administrative procedural documents under Art. 204-1 of the CAO, the detained Ukrainian was taken to the border guard unit. Currently, joint measures to establish all the circumstances of the offense and identify the persons involved in this are being taken.
