The Verkhovna Rada initiated the introduction of the Day of Winemaker and Gardener

The relevant draft Decree has already been sent to the Presidential Administration of Ukraine.  This was stated on Wednesday, April 4, by People’s Deputy of Ukraine Robert Horvat.

According to the MP, the holiday is planned to be celebrated annually every second Sunday of November.

According to Robert Horvat, the introduction of such a holiday, among other things, will contribute to the comprehensive development of the wine industry in Ukraine.

"Together, we must promote the strengthening of wine-making traditions, the formation of wine consumption culture, the promotion of Ukrainian wines, as a trademark of our state at official events and diplomatic receptions. Our country has long been famous for wine traditions, and therefore these decisions will promote the image of Ukraine as a winemaking state among European countries."

Recall that on Tuesday, March 20, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the adoption of the Draft Law No. 6693 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Development of the Production of Wines and Natural Honey Beverages", which provides for a simplified procedure for the licensing of small wineries based on a declarative principle.

Among the authors of the law, there are Transcarpathians Robert Horvat, Vasyl Petyovka, Valeriy Lunchenko.
