Police officers of the Mukachevo department are establishing the cause and circumstances of an accident in the village of Chomonyn, which resulted in three people, including one minor, getting injured. The police began an investigation.
The officers of the police investigation team, who worked at the scene, found out that the 42-year-old driver of the VAZ 2107, driving down the central street, lost control and collided with a concrete bridge. As a result, the vehicle overturned.
As a result of this accident, the driver and his two passengers, aged 13 and 35, residents of the village of Barkasovo, were injured. All three of them sufferred injuries of varying severity and were taken to the hospital, the driver is in intensive care unit.
The police opened a criminal proceeding over the violation of traffic safety rules under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Criminal liability for this crime includes a fine of up to one hundred tax-free minimum incomes, or correctional labor for a term of up to two years, or arrest for a term of up to six months, or restraint of liberty for a term of up to three years, with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Investigators have already arranged for a number of necessary forensic examinations. The vehicle was taken to the police impound lot. In the course of the investigation, the police will find out all the circumstances and the cause of the car accident.
