Uzhgorod residents are invited to the discussion: “The community and the police: joint efforts for safety

On Monday, January 30, in the hall of the Academic Council of Uzhgorod National University, there will be a roundtable on the topic "The community and the police: joint efforts for safety"

The purpose of the event is to discuss the main problems that exist in the city of Uzhgorod and distinguish those that can be solved or significantly alleviated through joint work of the public and the police.

Representatives of the national police, Uzhgorod authorities, and all active and caring residents, who are ready to assume the duties and responsibilities in joint work are invited to participate in the event.

Date: January 30 (Monday)

Time – 15.00.

Duration: 1 hour

Venue: Hall of the Academic Council of Uzhgorod National University (Narodna Square, 3, Uzhgorod, Uzhgorod National University administration, 2nd floor)

Experience of developed and safe countries shows that public safety and order is the matter of joint work of the police and the public. Reform of the police continues in Ukraine. Thus, communities have new faces in the police, the people, who are inspired and ready to do their job honestly. However, their efforts are often not enough to radically change the situation with the existing problems in the community. On the other hand, the active position of the community, their cooperation and interaction with the police can be the key to success and changes, the prevention to maintain proper order.
