Deterioration of weather conditions in Transcarpathia hampered the traffic on the main transport arteries of the region. Since the morning, heavy vehicles have not been able to pass the lacet near the village of Zaluzhzhya on the border of Mukachevo and Irshava districts, so it was decided to suspend freight traffic on the highway "Mukachevo – Rohatyn" starting from 9.00, Thursday (12.01).
– Vehicular traffic on the international highway "Kyiv – Chop" and the roads of national importance "Khust – Dolyna" and "Uzhgorod – Sambir" for now is without any restrictions, the traffic through the four passes in the administrative boder of Transcarpathia is free – Hennadiy Moskal said. – However, depending on weather conditions, truck traffic may be restricted on other roads, which will be announced.
The heaviest snowfall in Transcarpathian region is expected on the night before Friday. Now, 167 units of road machinery are engaged in snow plowing, road traffic situation is under control of the Regional State Administration.
