Most of the Hungarian media ignored the separatist provocation near the Ukrainian embassy in Budapest (PHOTOS)

As you know, on the evening of October 13, a rally took place near the building of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission.

First, it should be noted that the majority of the Hungarian media ignored the campaign, both in announcement and its coverage at the moment. At the same time, it should be noted that the meeting was announced the Jobbik party website Alfahir. So far, it has been covered only by marginal sites, or pro-Russian publications such as Orosz Hírek, as well as Russian media (Ren TV) and, of course, Mr. Shariy.

Second, there were few people at the campaign. There were about 100-150 people, and this figure is reported in the statement by the national news agency MTI, and was reported at the rally by one of the organizers and leaders of the campaign, MEP Krisztina Morvai.

Third, although officially, the Jobbik Party distanced themselves from this rally, many of the party members were present there. The symbols of this political force were also present at the rally.

Fourth, although the official organizer of the rally is the scandalous priest Lorant Gegediush Jr., but Krisztina Morvai and lawyer Tomas Gaudi-Nagy, who also collaborated closely with Jobbik for a long period of time, were the main speakers at the rally. It was stated in all Hungarian media reports about the campaign.

Fifth, there is no point in retelling what Krisztina Morvai, Tomas Gaudi-Nagy and the other participants of the campaign said, because it was just a verbiage of a very provocative and separatist nature packed in slogans on the right of nations and peoples and so on. Very little was said about the Ukrainian law on education. The inscription on the T-shirt worn by Tomas Gaudi-Nagy – "Crimea legally belongs to Russia. Transcarpathia legally belongs to Hungary" – speaks for itself.

Sixth, the official organizer of the rally, priest Lorant Gegediush, called for honoring the victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine with a moment of silence. And it looks extremely cynical and provocative in view of the entire context of this rally. As well as the flag of Catalonia.

Seventh, after a similar rally in Budapest in March 2014, with the participation of Tomas Gaudi-Nagy, and with similar slogans, the Hungarian authorities reacted to it by disengaging themselves from that provocation. Hopefully, the Hungarian government will be consistent.
