The XVII-th festival of classical and contemporary music continues in Uzhgorod

Lectures, creative meetings, master classes are held within the framework of the festival "Musical constellation of Transcarpathia". 

This time, in particular, the chairman of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine, a teacher of the Uzhgorod Musical College, Honored Worker of Arts of Ukraine, Laureate of the National V.Kosenko Prize and regional D. Zador and Sherehiy brothers prizes Victor Telychko has prepared a lacture about one of Dezideriy Zador’s composing teachers – the prominent Czech composer, People’s Artist of Czechoslovakia, rector of the Prague Conservatory, Professor Vitezslav Novak.

During the meeting, the audience will hear for the first time the symphonic works of Vitezslav Novak – "Slovak Suite" and the piece of the memory of the Second World War victims "Profundis".

The event will be held on November 8 at the Uzhgorod Music College (room №25). The beginning is at 14.10.

Recall that this year’s festival takes place from October 17 to December 17. The next interesting lecture will take place on November 15th. The theme of the meeting is "Alois Haba and the quarter-tone system in contemporary and folk music," – the organizers inform.
