On December 7, at 16.00, well-known Uzhgorod sculptor, Honored Artist of Ukraine Bohdan Korzh will present the exhibition of his works (sculpture, graphic art) in the "Uzhgorod" gallery in the regional center.
On November 28, the artist turned 65. Therefore, the exhibition will be held on this occasion. As the artist explained to our publication, the exhibition will feature 20 sculptures that have been made over the recent years. As for the graphic art, it will be presented to the general public for the first time (30 works).
Bohdan Korzh was born in 1952 in the village of Jablonec nad Nisou (Czech Republic). In 1972, he graduated from the Uzhgorod School of Applied Arts, and in 1978 – Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1985), three times the winner of the regional Y. Bokshay and A. Erdelyi prize (1997, 2008, 2014). He works in the genre of sculptural portraiture, small form sculptures, park and monumental plastics, medal art. Participant of regional, republican and foreign exhibitions, symposiums.
