Electronic medicine will soon be launched in Transcarpathia

Experts from the project office at the Ministry of Health and professional organizations trained physicians from across the region to work with the eHealth.

7 medical institutions of Transcarpathia (Vynogradiv District Hospital, Volovets District Center for Primary Health Care, Rakhiv District Center for Primary Health Care, Uzhgorod District Center for Primary Health Care, Mukachevo City Center for Primary Health Care, Transcarpathian Regional Medical Information Center, Communal Enterprise of the Chop City Council) joined the eHealth.

The introduction of the eHealth is primarily aimed at improving the quality of health services. The system will become the basis for a new payment system, "money follow for the patient": the government will pay a certain amount for each patient, who has concluded a special agreement with the doctor. And patients will choose the doctors of primary care themselves. Thus, good doctors, who treat their patients efficiently, will benefit from this - they will be able to receive a decent salary.

"Such system is very much needed, because it will establish a fair relationship between the doctor and the patient," - the head of the treatment and prevention division of the Department of Health Care of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Olha Chemet noted. Citizens will finally be able to receive high-quality and free medical care, and the work of doctors will be fairly rewarded. For their part, the local authorities should take care of the allocation of money fo medical equipment and provide access to the Internet."

During the seminar, chief doctors talked with the developers - the team of the project office at the Ministry of Health - about their vision of the system in the future. Testing of the eHealth is a special stage for identifying and eliminating as many deficiencies as possible.
