5.5 million will be allocated fo tourism and investment image in Uzhgorod

The Program of tourism development and the formation of a positive investment image of Uzhgorod for 2018-2022 was approved today at the session of the Uzhgorod City Council. 
 Accordingly, the decision of the Xth session of the City Council of the VII convocation dd January 26, 2017 No. 551 "On the Program for the Development of Cross-Border Cooperation, Tourism and the Formation of a Positive International Investment Image of Uzhgorod for 2017-2022" is no longer valid. The main spending unit of the Program will be the Department of Economics and Strategic Planning of Uzhgorod City Council. The information about the progress of the Program implementation shall be published twice a year on the official site of the Uzhgorod City Council.

In total, almost UAH 5.5 million was allocared for the program, more than UAH 1.2 million is provided for the next year 2018.

The program provides for participation of representatives from the City Council, deputies in seminars, presentations, conferences, trainings, forums for studying international experience of working with foreign investors and funds in the tourism and investment spheres; internship; information exchange with leading foreign and domestic mass media, tour operators and tour agencies, conducting tours of the city for representatives of mass media, diplomatic missions, investment companies, funds and other organizations to promote the city internationally.

The budget for the implementation of the Program was also approved by the decision adopted at the session.
