The ceremony took place on Nezalezhnist embankment. Regional and city officials, heads of law enforcement and security agencies, military, representatives of diplomatic agencies and the public laid flowers to the monument of the President of Carpathian Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Augustin Voloshin – Uzhgorod city council informed.
Lessons aimed at building students’ patriotism and respect for the heroic pages of the past will take place in the schools of the city, Uzhgorod libraries prepared exhibitions and reviews of literature on this subject.
Traditionally, the meeting-requiem in the memorial park "Krasne Pole" near Khust will be held today.
