Officers of the counter drug crime department of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, together with officers of Velyky Berezny and Uzhgorod police department arrested a 48-year resident of Chop, who was engaged in production of drugs.
The 48-year-old man equipped a separate room in the annex of his house to grow cannabis in it. In the room with special lamps and drip irrigation systems, the man was growing about three dozen bushes of cannabis, 16 of which reach one and a half meters high. The man could have received nearly 1 million hryvnia for the finished drug.
Currently, investigators are checking the detainee for involvement not only in manufacturing, but also in sales of drugs.
